COURTHOUSE RENOVATION

Settembrino Architects was hired by Atlantic County to design an improvement in the safety and security of the existing court building. The structure consists of two entrances, one entrance is used as both an entrance and an exit. Settembrino Architects re-designed and expanded the main entrance to allow for the new security vestibule and large revolving door. The four court entrance was lifted to match the ground level of the new vestibule and the existing stairs were moved to the perimeter of the building. Interior renovations also include the expansion of the foyer to provide for more queuing space and an additional security station. Redesign of the exit vestibule has been rearranged to accommodate a new ADA ramp system and secure exit vestibule.
