LIBRARY HEADQUARTERS INTERIOR RENOVATIONS

Settembrino Architects is working with the County of Monmouth on interior renovations at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters. The scope of work includes lighting renovations & technology upgrades at the Adult Library Area, renovations to the Mezzanine Level Meeting rooms, and existing Main Level Toilet Room reconfigurations/renovations. Settembrino Architects has successfully assisted the County Library in applying for and recently received a $2M grant from the NJ Library Construction Bond Act for this project.

The scope of the renovations addresses finish upgrades, including flooring and painting, ceiling and lighting replacements, whole area reconfigurations, technology upgrades, furniture replacements, and gang toilet room renovations. Additionally, the library is including whole building upgrades for new security card access and CCTV, a new addressable sound system, and a new Building Management System (BMS).

Energy and water saving potentials will include new plumbing and LED Lighting fixtures. Water saving plumbing fixtures shall be selected with metered faucets and automatic flush valves as well as ADA accessible sinks with an updated look that is both durable and easy to maintain. The toilet partitions shall be a recycled plastic product with stainless steel hardware and is resistant to rust, unlike the current metal toilet partitions. Finish options for the floors and walls include new tiling at the walls with the use of accent banding or colors, and new seamless resinous flooring. The current flooring at the lobby will be replaced to provide an updated, smooth transition to the recently renovated library flooring.
