HACKETTSTOWN BOARD OF EDUCATION
HACKETTSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL MEDIA CENTER RENOVATIONS

Settembrino Architects was hired by the Hackettstown Board of Education to renovate the Hackettstown High School Media Center. The major goal of the instructional media center renovation was to facilitate the teaching-learning process and to provide resources and services to satisfy both the individual and instructional needs of students. New furniture, carpeting/ vinyl flooring, new lighting and ceiling tiles and ceiling finishes, replacement of existing doors and frames and new technology brought the media center to a state of the art technology space. An existing space off the media center was renovated into a maker space with new equipment. The media center design encourages students to study independently, to interact and work cooperatively with other students in both small and large group settings, and also to receive formal and informal instruction from teachers.
